In Do Corpo Nasce o Mar, the body emerges as both origin and passage. It is womb, primordial territory, and at the same time a surface that opens itself to the world. The photographs presented in this exhibition unfold as fragments of a shared memory, flowing from the intimate interior toward the landscape, as if the waters within the body slowly extended outward until meeting the sea.
Here, the sea becomes a metaphor for an expansive and untamed emotional space. It carries boundaries, yet resists them. Much like the human body, it holds within it a tension between desire and restraint, between expression and silence.
Each image inhabits this threshold — between containment and surrender, gesture and absence. These photographs construct visual traces of an inner experience where time settles into matter and the gaze becomes almost tactile. The body touches the world, withdraws, and returns again to itself.
The movement suggested throughout the series flows from interior to exterior and back again, forming a quiet cycle. Through this poetic language of image and landscape, the work invites viewers to listen to what continues to pulse within us — like a sea held in suspension.
